[Bristol, UK, 6th August 2009] TransVault Software (TVS) has today announced its latest release of TransVault, an application designed to migrate legacy archived email and other data types between different archive vendor platforms and storage locations.
Version 4.5 brings new opportunities for companies wanting to extract data from EMC, Quest and Symantec archives.
An EMC EmailXtender for Notes Extraction Connector enables IBM Notes to Microsoft Exchange migrations by exporting archived Notes data into Exchange format ready for output to PST, EML or MSG formats, as well as directly into a new Exchange archive!
The new Quest Archive Manager Extraction Connector gets data out of the archive and into files or a replacement archive. TransVault also migrates the archive shortcuts/stubs so that users have minimal interruption whilst their email history is being transferred.
The Symantec Enterprise Vault Extraction Connector has been enhanced to fully support the new Version 8 release for Microsoft Exchange. Allied to the TransVault EV Ingestion Connector this capability will allow new storage refresh and acquisition scenarios to be addressed.
These new connectors also benefit from the auditing, automation and process control features proven during many migration projects utilising the TransVault pluggable framework..
