[Bristol, UK, 15th December 2008] TransVault Software (TVS) has today announced its latest release of TransVault, an application designed to migrate legacy archived email and other data types between different archive vendor platforms and storage locations.
Version 4.2 delivers high performance support for EMC’s EmailXtender Archive - it also supports EMC’s Centera storage platform. TransVault is suitable for customers wishing to migrate all or selected emails into a new location or archive platform, either going from, or to, EMC.
This is the second release from TVS in the space of two months, and support of new platforms and functionality is predicted to accelerate throughout 2009. TransVault Software’s recently appointed Programme Manager, Dan Clark, has improved the processes that drive change at TVS, with agile development techniques leading to a faster release cycle and the addition of new or improved functionality to every release. This change supports the strategic vision of the company to be able to quickly respond to market demands for new migration types.
According to Clark, “We have aligned our development process with customer’s requirements, and have introduced a number of capabilities to assist mergers and acquisition scenarios, such as the option to re-write email addresses so they reflect the new organization. Upcoming versions will help simplify migrations from onsite to hosted archive services.”
