Key Features
No other product combines the vital features and functionality needed to administrate and report on your enterprise email servers.
Instead of having to use several 'in depth' products for monitoring and reporting, we know you'll like the fact that everything you really need is in one place, easy to use, and available at a price that makes sense.
There are 3 key parts to Mailscape:
- Monitoring
- Reporting
- Personalised Dashboards
Monitoring
Mailscape makes your job of monitoring the Exchange system easier by presenting real-time data on all the vital information that directly impacts Exchange uptime via Mailscape's One Look Dashboard.
It automatically tests every critical Exchange service, such as Mail Flow, Disk Space, Backup Status, Queues, Outlook Web Access, Active Sync, BlackBerry, Outlook Anywhere, and cluster health (CCR).
Rather than overload you with information, Mailscape streamlines the process for you and provides an intuitive, visual approach to monitoring Exchange:
- Green = good
- Yellow = warning
- Red = critical
You can obtain in-depth information for any server by simply clicking on an indicator, and the beauty of Mailscape is that it points you towards a solution even as it alerts you to a problem.
You can also send email alerts to notify your team of an impending problem. With Mailscape you can quickly identify problem areas before they cause a mail outage, including:
- Disk space monitoring, including database and log drives
- Message flow monitoring, including SMTP domain level reporting
- Visually see when your Exchange 2007 Hub servers enter a Back Pressure state
- Monitor Exchange 2007 CCR log replication
- Receive alerts when your databases are not backed up
- Full support for Exchange 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2010 servers
Reporting
The Mailscape Reports Library has over 200 of the most commonly-requested reports. You can then either customise these reports or create an new ones. Mailscape's innovative Report Wizard gives you endless creative freedom when it comes to the types of reports you can create and how you can disseminate them throughout your organisation.
Very complex reports can be created with only a few clicks: You can decide which attributes of Exchange or Active Directory you want to report on and choose any number of filters. When you’re finished, you can customise the layout of the report to suit your unique needs and save it in the Reports Library for future use.
Mailscape enables you to create reports based on several technologies, including BlackBerry, ActiveSync, iPhones, Outlook Client Version, Active Directory and Exchange objects.
Personalised Dashboards
Where other reporting products only allow you to email a report, resulting in information that is already out-dated by the time it reaches its destination, Mailscape also lets you create custom, real time reports that can be made available via any browser and tailored to the needs of the viewer:
For administrators, Mailscape’s reports facilitate proactive Exchange management for increased efficiency, optimal system performance, minimal downtime, and improved service to the end users.
For senior management, Mailscape’s reports provide concrete data on which planning and budgetary decisions can be based.
- Proactively advise senior management of future Exchange storage needs.

- Provide help desk staff with the information they need to improve the level of service to your end users.
