In this video, we demonstrate just how easy it is to book catering and additional services alongside your room booking in Microsoft Places.
As soon as you reserve a room, you’ll automatically receive an email with a link to a tailored booking form. This form makes it simple to request a variety of services – from catering options like drinks, sandwiches, and biscuits to selecting specific service times.
The setup is highly flexible: services offered can vary by room and site, and you can configure important rules like cut-off times (e.g., 24 hours before the meeting) to ensure smooth service planning. You can even add cost codes to manage internal cross-charging easily. Plus, if your meeting is cancelled (e.g. by canceling your room booking in Outlook), any associated catering bookings are automatically cancelled too – saving you time and avoiding extra costs.
This streamlined process enhances the meeting experience while giving facilities teams the tools they need to manage services effortlessly.
