Essential recognises that its operations have an effect on the local, regional and global environment. As a consequence of this, the Company is committed to continuous improvements in environmental performance and the prevention of pollution.
Employees are encouraged to take a sustainable approach to transport to and from work, with provision of showers for cyclists, frequent car-sharing and use of public transport. Where appropriate, we encourage staff to use train transport for visiting customer sites and use teleconferencing technology where possible to deliver services remotely.
Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy
This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, partners, contractors and suppliers. Essential Computing Limited strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chain. We have and will continue to be committed to implementing systems and controls aimed at ensuring that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our organisation or in any of our supply chains. Essential expects that their suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
Located in a 19th-century building in a conservation area, Essential is considered an active part of the small Victorian seaside town.
Wherever possible, we source supplies and services locally, our objective being to reducing the impact of transportation on the environment when goods are shipped, and also provide employment opportunities for locally based people.
Outside of office hours Essential offers its car park to local residents to ease road congestion.
There is also a community market held in the Essential car park every month.
Essential supports a range of charities and has a long track-record of supporting the causes that make a difference to the local community, and those that support its customers, including Housing Associations and Hospices.
