Understanding Desk Types in Microsoft Places
Did you know that every desk in Microsoft Places can be configured in one of four different modes?
In this video, I explain the four desk types available in Places and how they support different workplace and hybrid working scenarios:
- Reservable desks – can be booked in advance or on arrival.
- Drop-in desks – available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved other than ‘on the day’.
- Assigned desks – permanently allocated to a specific employee.
- Unavailable desks – temporarily removed from booking (e.g., to allow for maintenance).
