Working with Resource Central room screens
Working with Resource Central room screens (also known as Digital Sign Service)
This video demonstrates how to work with Resource Central room screens – aka Digital Sign Service (DSS).
DSS lets you integrate your choice of digital screens with standard Microsoft 365 room bookings.
Book a meeting room in Microsoft Outlook or Teams and the booking is automatically displayed on the corresponding meeting room sign, using red/green status colours and an optional halo glow.
Use individual signs outside each room or overview signs in corridors and lobbies to show the availability of multiple workspaces.
- See meeting room free/busy status at-a-glance
- Check-into pre-booked spaces
- Automatically release workspaces if no-one turns up
- Extend bookings on screen
- See upcoming bookings & next availability
- Make new bookings ‘on-the-spot’
- Report on meeting room utilisation.
Part of a comprehensive service – Add advanced resource booking (such as catering, parking and visitor passes), reception desk management, visitor self registration and wayfinder screens.
Built for Microsoft 365 – Supports standard Microsoft resource mailboxes, Microsoft authentication and runs on a centralised service that’s hosted in Microsoft Azure.
Hardware independent – Use your own choice of industry standard screens and customise to reflect your company branding or office design.
Fully contactless – Use RFID to support existing security cards or embed QR codes for fully contactless operation. New bookings or ‘no-shows’ are instantly updated in Outlook and Teams calendar.
